Annual MGA Members Meeting in Review

2011

The annual MGA membership meeting was held Thursday, December 3rd.  The meeting was held in compliance with the MGA Constitution.

 

The current MGA officers then presented a slide show which identified the numerous accomplishments of the MGA this year, including:

 

· Improved the percentage of scores posted to over 95% of total rounds played

· Verified score cards to rounds posted with the help of the golf staff

· Introduced electronic absentee voting for MGA board members

· Involved area businesses in select tournaments to enhance experience

· Provided a budget surplus for the 2012 board

 

The election of new Officers for 2012 was completed with in-person voting.  The new MGA Officers are:  John Campbell — President, Ed Lachcik — Vice President and Tournament Chairman, Ron Morehead — Handicap Committee Chairman, Steve Baumann — Secretary, and Marco Hague — Treasurer and Finance Chairman.

 

Our 2011 Major Tournament champions were recognized and presented with golf hats citing their champions’ status. 

 

For those members who were unable to attend, you missed a lot of great food and drinks (all complimentary) in addition to an informative meeting.  You must plan to attend next year’s meeting, at which time we will be electing a new slate of officers and voting on any other changes that might require membership approval.
