MGA Members,
I wanted to provide a brief update to the membership and thank the many of you that have provided suggestions and ideas to all the officers and committees.
Turkey Shoot ( now November 5th - Changed from Nov 19th due to course irrigation)
This tournament marks our last of the year with free entry for all MGA members and turkeys for the winners. The 8:30AM shotgun is followed by a great holiday lunch. Form your own team and sign up in the pro-shop now! Click here for more information.
Officer Nominations & Elections
It is time for nominations of the membership to represent you on the MGA Board. Nominations must be seconded and no member will be put on the ballet without accepting the nomination. This communication is an active call for nominations which can be submitted to any officer of the MGA. Nominations should include the position for which you are nominating the individual. Should individuals be nominated for more than one position, they will have to decide what position they wish to run for during the confirmation process.
I am pleased to report that many of our current officers are willing to serve again should they get elected. I am planning to run for one more year. The club has gone through multiple changes this year, and I believe new ideas will be coming to the membership.
Thanks to the work of Ron Morehead (Handicap Chair) and supported by each officer, we will have a process in place which will allow electronic absentee voting for those that cannot attend the year end meeting, now planned for December 1st (Thursday). Steve Baumann will supervise the nomination process and elections as your Secretary and you can expect to hear more about this in an upcoming communication.
Your MGA officers are committed to transparency in how we conduct our business, getting you the maximum value for your dues, and keeping with the traditions of old while exploring ways to enhance each tournament experience.
On behalf of myself and all the officers, thank you for your support and involvement. Please begin providing your nominations as soon as possible.
Jim Pappafotis
MGA President
